DES MOINES, IA -- A driver struck a marked DMPD vehicle Monday morning at the scene of a prior crash on Interstate 235 in northeast Des Moines, according to Des Moines Police Department.
The incident took place on the eastbound lanes at Exit 10A to East University Avenue, in the city's Capitol East area. It was first reported by DMPD shortly after 8:00 a.m.
Details are limited, but authorities said the squad car was struck while officers were investigating another crash.
No injuries were reported in the event.
