BATTLE CREEK, IA - A man was killed in a rollover crash while fleeing an Ida County deputy last night.

According to KCAU, the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation near Ida Grove when the driver took off, prompting a lengthy pursuit.

The chase ended when the 47-year-old driver lost control near the Crawford Creek Recreation area and struck a tree, causing his vehicle to roll an unknown number of times.
