DES MOINES, IA -- Property damage was reported Thursday morning after a driver crashed into and downed a utility pole near Glendale Cemetery in the Drake neighborhood of northwest Des Moines, according to Des Moines Police Department.
The incident occurred on 48th Street between Forest Avenue and College Avenue, temporarily closing the area from traffic. It was first reported by DMPD at 8:53 a.m.
No clearance time was projected, but crews were en route to repair the downed pole at the time of the report.
