LINN COUNTY, IA -- A woman and two children were injured Thursday evening when their car crashed into a ditch near an east Cedar Rapids intersection, reports KCRG.
The accident happened at the corner of Berry Road and Wanatee Creek Road (Squaw Creek Road) shortly before 5:37 p.m.
An early investigation indicates a woman was driving a 2002 Chrysler when she lost control of the car, causing it to crash into a nearby ditch.
The woman and two child occupants suffered minor injuries and were transported to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Linn County Sheriff's Deputies, Linn County Sheriff's Rescue 57, West Bertram Fire Department, Cedar Rapids Fire Department, and Area Ambulance Service all responded to the scene.
No information has been released on a possible cause of the crash.
