News: Four hospitalized after two-vehicle wreck near Des Moines International Airport

DES MOINES, IA -- Four people were injured, two critically, in a two-vehicle collision late Tuesday night near Des Moines International Airport in south Des Moines, reports Davenport Journal.

Des Moines Police Department said the accident occurred in the 5800 block of Fleur Drive at around 11:47 p.m.

An early investigation indicates a Cadillac Escalade was turning south onto the road when it was hit by a southbound Chrysler Pacifica.

Authorities said both drivers were rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

Two other passengers in the Cadillac Escalade suffered undisclosed injuries and were also taken to a hospital.

As of this writing, no further updates have been released, but an investigation was underway.
