DES MOINES, IA -- At least one person was injured Friday afternoon in a multi-vehicle accident near the Garton West area of northeast Des Moines, according to Des Moines Police Department.
The collision occurred on the eastbound lanes of East Euclid Avenue between Delaware Avenue and Interstate 235. It was first reported by DMPD at 3:39 p.m.
It was unclear what led up to the crash, but Des Moines police and firefighters both responded to the scene where a semi-truck overturned.
Minor injuries were reported, but as of this writing, authorities have not confirmed the number of people hurt.

Extensive delays were anticipated in the area as crews worked to clear the roadway.
