CLINTON COUNTY, IA -- A 19-year-old Maquoketa man has been cited for failure to maintain control following a single-vehicle injury crash on Sunday, January 9, near north Delmar, according to The Observer.
The accident took place on 115th Street near the 250th Avenue intersection at approximately 4:20 p.m.
A traffic report indicated the young man was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle crashed into a ditch, where it flipped before landing back on its wheels.
Medics transported the victim to Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa with minor injuries.
Authorities said the Chevrolet sustained damage estimated at $5,000.
