News: Two semis collide on I-380 near north Cedar Rapids

LINN COUNTY, IA -- A double semi-truck accident Saturday morning caused one semi to jackknife on Interstate 380 near north Cedar Rapids, according to Davenport Journal.

The crash happened between the County Home Road exit and the North Center Point Road exit shortly before 8:00 a.m.

Linn County Sheriff's deputies said one semi was slowly ascending a hill when it was rear-ended by another semi.

No injuries were reported in the incident, but the impact of the crash caused the second semi to jackknife, which blocked both traffic lanes.

Authorities have not disclosed further details on a possible cause of the crash, but an investigation remains underway.
