LINN COUNTY, IA -- A two-vehicle accident late Tuesday afternoon closed all lanes on U.S. Highway 151 near northeast Fairfax, according to the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
The collision occurred at the Highland Avenue intersection and was first reported by LCSO at 4:50 p.m.
It was unclear what led up to the crash, but the entire roadway was blocked, and traffic was being diverted from the area. Motorists were instructed to take alternate routes as emergency crews responded.

Shortly before 5:00 p.m., the scene had been moved enough to allow traffic to proceed with caution through the area.
