DES MOINES, IA -- A vehicle accident Thursday morning closed an Interstate 235 exit ramp near the Douglas Acres neighborhood in northeast Des Moines, according to Stateside Iowa 511.
The collision took place on the Exit 12 ramp connecting I-235 eastbound to U.S. Highway 6, or East Euclid Avenue. It was first reported by Iowa 511 at 9:42 a.m.
Only a left shoulder was initially blocked, but by 10:23 a.m., more than half an hour later, the offramp was closed.

At 12:22 p.m., nearly two hours after the ramp closure, the scene had been cleared with all lanes reopened to traffic.
