News: Driver evaluated after rollover crash in south Springville

LINN COUNTY, IA -- A woman was taken to a hospital early Tuesday evening after a single-vehicle rollover collision off Springville Road in south Springville, according to CBS2Iowa.

Linn County Sheriff's Deputies and Linn County Rescue crews responded to the scene about 1/4 mile south of the Dubuque Road (Highway 151) intersection at around 4:38 p.m.

An early investigation indicates a woman was driving a 2018 GMC Acadia northbound on Springville Road when the vehicle veered past the center line and into a ditch before striking the driveway of a residence. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to go airborne into the front yard, where it came to rest on its side against a pine tree.

The female driver was transported to St. Luke's Hospital as a precaution, though she did not complain of pain after the wreck. Authorities noted she was wearing a seat belt at the time.

No other occupants were involved and no other injuries were reported.

Springville Fire Department and Anamosa Ambulance Service also assisted at the site.
