CEDAR RAPIDS, IA- An occupant and a firefighter were potentially injured in a Cedar Rapids house fire on Monday morning, according to local news sources.

At approximately 11:00am, officials responded to the area of 3619 Northwood Drive NE, with reports of a house on fire. Two dogs and the homeowner were able to escape, and the homeowner was hospitalized for evaluation. A firefighter battling the blaze inside suffered minor injuries after a ceiling collapsed on him.
