DES MOINES, IA - A person driving a stolen truck was being pursued by the police when they crashed at Hickman Rd and Nash Dr Tuesday, according to WHO 13.
The chase began when the driver sped off after seeing an officer near Hickman Flats.
While being pursued by officers, the driver collided with another vehicle at 24th St and Hickman Rd before striking an embankment at Hickman Rd and Nash Dr.
The driver then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee the area on foot. Officers located the driver and arrested them.
Authorities have not identified the suspect.
It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the incident.
