News: Driver of stolen vehicle injured after crashing into tree in Jasper County

JASPER COUNTY, IA - The driver of a stolen vehicle was hurt after he crashed into a tree while fleeing from police at IA 224 and I-80 Thursday, according to KCCI.

Authorities found the suspect near Kellogg on IA 224. The suspect led police on a chase that reached speeds of 90 mph.

The pursuit ended when the suspect drove the stolen vehicle into a cornfield and slammed into a tree.

Officers charged the suspect with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, felony eluding, burglary, and possession of a firearm as a felon.

The suspect's passenger was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant.
