MARSHALLTOWN, IA - The family of a motorcyclist who was struck and killed near JBS Swift & Co by a truck driver on May 16 is suing the driver, according to KCCI.
Following the crash, rescue crews extricated the victim, a father of five, from under the truck and transported him to an area hospital, where he died.
The truck driver that ran over the victim was driving with a suspended license. He does not have to pay restitution to the victim's family because he was not charged with a felony.
The victim's family filed a wrongful death suit against the truck driver.
