POLK CO., IA - A teen was killed Monday night when he was hit by a vehicle on I-80 in Polk County, according to a report by KCCI.
Troopers say the 18-year-old victim walked onto the westbound lanes of the freeway and was hit by a westbound tractor-trailer at about 10:30 p.m.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. Troopers say he was parked at a nearby convenience store before walking into traffic for unknown reasons.
It is unclear if any charges will be filed in connection to the deadly crash.
