News: 38-year-old man killed in police chase, crash in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - A man was killed following a brief police chase and ensuing rollover crash in south Cedar Rapids early this morning.

According to a report by KWWL, the driver was fleeing Cedar Rapids Police southbound on I-380 when he entered the US-30 interchange and lose control of his vehicle, causing it to rollover several times.

The driver, a 38-year-old Cedar Rapids man, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Officers say they were attempting to stop him for a traffic violation when he took off.

It is unclear if anyone else was injured in the crash.
