DENISON, IA - Eight people were sent to the hospital following a head-on crash southwest of Denison early Sunday.
According to a report by KCIM, the crash happened at about 2:11 p.m. when a 2015 Honda Pilot heading east on US-30 crossed into the oncoming lanes and slammed head-on into a 2012 GMC Acadia.
The four occupants of the Honda, all juveniles, were taken to Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison by Crawford County Emergency Medical Services.
The 50-year-old woman and her three passengers, including an 8-year-old child, were also hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
It is unclear at this time if any charges will be filed in connection to the head-on crash.
