News: Man on mobility scooter struck by vehicle in Des Moines

DES MOINES, IA - A man was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle while riding his mobility scooter in north Des Moines.

According to KCCI, the victim was hit at about 2 p.m. in the area of 6th Avenue and University Avenue.

The victim, an unidentified 58-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital with injuries believed t be non-life-threatening.

The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
