MONROE COUNTY, IA - A person died following a two-vehicle collision on US 34 between 197th Trail and 595th Ave on March 29, according to We Are Iowa.
A 30-year-old male was heading east on US 34 when he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with the driver's side of a westbound vehicle around 4 p.m.
The car driven by the 30-year-old overturned onto its roof. The other vehicle ended up in a ditch.
Rescue crews extricated the 30-year-old driver and his passenger from their vehicle. They pronounced the 30-year-old dead at the scene and transported his passenger to an area hospital.
The other driver was not hurt in the incident.
