REDFIELD, IA - A driver died after crashing into the Middle Raccoon River near the Redfield Dam on Tuesday, according to the Des Moines Register.
A 32-year-old man was driving a 2012 Hyundai Sonata and was speeding when he hit multiple boulders near the dam before crashing into the water around 1:38 p.m.
Crews recovered the Sonata from the river and discovered the driver's deceased body inside it.
The Dallas County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
