GUTHRIE CENTER, IA - A driver struck and killed a 6-year-old boy at 2496 170th St on Saturday, according to We Are Iowa.
The driver was backing out of the driveway when he hit the child with his back right tire. The driver performed life-saving measures on the boy until rescue crews arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The Iowa Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
