FAIRFAX, IA - Firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire at 5101 Longview Dr SW on Monday, according to Linn County Sheriff's Office.

Dispatchers received calls concerning the fire around 9:20 a.m.
The garage was engulfed in flames and the fire was spreading to the attached house by the time firefighters arrived. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.
The house's residents exited the home without injury.
It is unclear what caused the fire.
