DUBUQUE COUNTY, IA - According to KCRG, officials have released more information concerning the fatal two-car crash near US 151 and Gehl Ln on August 13.
A driver was heading south in the northbound lanes of US 151 when they collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
Rescue crews pronounced the wrong-way driver dead at the scene and transported three people from the car that was hit to an area hospital. Two of that car's occupants are 17-year-olds from Italy and one is an 18-year-old from Spain.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the crash.
