VOLGA, IA - According to KCRG, officials have provided additional details concerning a fatal accident on Domino Rd near the Volga U Campground on July 29.
A truck occupied by seven people and driven by a 24-year-old male accelerated rapidly, which caused a 21-year-old male and a 24-year-old male to fall off the tailgate.
Rescue crews transported both victims to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 24-year-old died at the hospital on July 31. The 21-year-old was treated and eventually released from the hospital.
The Clayton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
