News: Officials release additional info on deadly crash in Cedar County

CEDAR COUNTY, IA - Officials have released additional information concerning a fatal auto vs. pedestrian collision at US 30 and Franklin Ave on July 17, according to the Iowa State Patrol.

A 46-year-old male was driving a 2004 Ford Expedition west on US 30 when he collided with a 38-year-old male who walked onto the highway from the shoulder around 11:25 p.m.

Rescue crews transported the victim to an area hospital, where he died.

The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident.
