News: Police investigate fatal crash near Roosevelt in Iowa City

IOWA CITY, IA - Authorities are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that happened at US 6 E and Boyrum St on Monday, according to KCRG.

A 24-year-old male was driving a truck east on US 6 when he ran a red light and collided with a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old woman heading north on Boyrum St around 1 p.m.

Rescue crews transported the woman to an area hospital, where she died.

Authorities cited the truck driver for a red light violation and said additional charges were possible.
