FORT DODGE, IA - According to We Are Iowa, the driver of a straight truck struck and killed a motorcyclist at Johnson Ave and US 20 on Tuesday.
The truck driver was heading south on Johnson Ave when he failed to yield at the intersection with US 20 and collided with a 74-year-old male motorcyclist around 4:40 p.m. The collision threw the motorcyclist from the vehicle.
Rescue crews pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
The truck driver was not injured in the incident.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the crash. It is unclear if they charged or cited the truck driver for the wreck.
