ADEL, IA - Two people were hurt when a male driver crashed into a home on the 300 block of S 10th St on Monday, according to KCCI.
A 2012 Dodge Journey driver slammed into the home around 11:20 p.m. Two people inside the house were injured in the crash.
The driver then allegedly left the scene on foot. Authorities found him a few blocks away. He failed numerous sobriety tests and was under the influence of marijuana and Lorazepam.
Authorities charged the driver with one count of operating while under the influence-first offense, two counts of serious injury by vehicle, and two counts of knowingly leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious injury.
