ALBIA, IA - According to the Iowa State Patrol, one person was injured when a driver fleeing from police crashed into a pond near 1802 695th Ave on Thursday.
A 21-year-old male was eluding police in a 1999 Dodge Ram when he drove through a field and crashed into a pond around 8:05 p.m.
All three occupants of the Ram were able to exit the vehicle.
Rescue crews performed CPR on a 17-year-old male before flying him to an area hospital.
Authorities arrested the driver and released the two passengers.
