News: Officials will not charge anyone for dog attack in Fort Dodge

FORT DODGE, IA - Officlas will not charge the owner of the dogs who brutally attacked a woman on the 800 block of S 16th St on Nov. 24, according to KCCI.

The woman was attacked by the dogs while staying at the home of the dog owner around 11:25 a.m.

An officer responded to the home after someone called 911 reporting that someone was screaming for help.

The officer tried to scare off the dogs but was unsuccessful. He then shot and killed the three dogs.

The victim suffered severe head trauma and had to have both of her legs amputated to her knees.

Officials investigated the incident but did not find evidence of a criminal act.
