ELLSWORTH, IA - A person died following a single-vehicle crash on I-35 near mile marker 133 on Tuesday, according to WHO 13.
A Chevrolet Avalanche driver was heading north on I-35 when they lost control of their vehicle on a slick bridge and crashed into a ditch.
A 42-year-old male passenger from Missouri was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the Avalanche in the crash.
The driver was not hurt in the wreck.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident.
