WAPELLO COUNTY, IA - The Iowa State Patrol is investigating a fatal wreck that happened on US 34 WB near IA 16 on Sunday, according to WHO 13.
A 37-year-old male was driving a pickup truck west on US 34 when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a ditch before rolling over and landing right-side-up in a field around 2:54 p.m.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle.
Rescue crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene. They transported a 32-year-old female passenger, a 1-year-old, and a 3-year-old to an area hospital.
