News: 1 injured in four-vehicle pile up on US 30 near Atkins

ATKINS, IA - According to KCRG, one person was hurt in a multi-vehicle crash on US 30 about four miles west of Cedar Rapids Friday.

The incident began when an SUV driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into the median around 9 a.m. A pickup truck driver then collided with the SUV.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and assisted the two drivers when a semi-truck driver lost control of their vehicle and the truck rolled over onto its side.

Another semi-truck driver attempted to avoid colliding with the other semi-truck and jackknifed,

Medics treated the SUV driver for minor injuries at the scene of the accident. Nobody else was injured in the incident.
