WINDSOR HEIGHTS, IA - A man charged with vehicular homicide for a deadly crash on 63rd St in 2022 has been sentenced to probation, according to Des Moines Register.
On March 26, Cameron Slothobuer, 27, was driving at excessive speeds on the 1400 block of 63rd St when he crossed into oncoming traffic to pass another vehicle and collided with a car driven by Rick Beasley, 71.
Rescue crews transported Beasley to an area hospital, where he died on April 18.
Authorities charged Slothouber with vehicular homicide by reckless driving. A judge sentenced Slothouber to two years probation. In addition to probation, Slothouber must pay Beasley's family $150,000.
