WEST DES MOINES, IA - Authorities have arrested a man who allegedly fled the area after colliding with a pedestrian on Ashworth Rd near 50th St on Oct. 16, according to KCCI.
The suspect, a 35-year-old man, is accused of striking and seriously injuring a 46-year-old man.
Following the collision, rescue crews transported the victim to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim survived the incident.
Authorities have charged the suspect with reckless driving, leaving the scene of an injury accident, and operating while intoxicated.
