According to KCRG, a driver died after they slammed into the trailer part of a semi-truck on I-380 between CR F28 and CR F12 Tuesday.
Traffic on the interstate had slowed down due to a towing operation when the driver, a 37-year-old male from Cedar Rapids, collided with the semi-truck around 11:30 a.m.
The incident is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
