MARION, IA - According to KCRG, a person died following a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck at Hwy 100 and E Post Rd Wednesday.
A semi-truck driver was heading west on Hwy 100 when they collided with a car turning onto eastbound Hwy 100 from southbound E Post Rd at around 2:16 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced a passenger from the car that was struck dead at the scene of the accident.
Authorities cited the semi-truck driver with Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device.
Officials have not released the deceased victim's name.
