MARENGO, IA - According to KCCI, the explosion at Heartland Crush LLC at 810 East South St on Dec. 8 will likely be ruled as an accident.
An explosion rocked the facility around 11 a.m. Firefighters worked to put out the fire until 4 a.m. the next day.
Following the explosion, rescue crews transported five people to an area hospital and an unknown number of others were driven to the hospital in private vehicles. Thirty people were inside the plant when the explosion happened
