MARION COUNTY, IA - A woman died in a single-vehicle collision on County Hwy S45 near Melcher-Dallas Tuesday, according to WHO 13.
A 49-year-old woman was driving a Chevy Equinox south on County Hwy S45 when she strayed off the road, hit a ditch, and vaulted over a driveway before slamming into a tree.
Rescue crews pronounced one passenger dead at the scene and transported the driver and another passenger to an area hospital.
The incident is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
