NEWTON, IA - Firefighters found a body while battling a fire on the 700 block of E 10 St S Sunday, according to KCCI.
Firefighters were called to the scene around 9:58 p.m. It took firefighters three hours to extinguish the fire.
Emergency crews discovered the body once the fire was extinguished.
Officials have not released the victim's name.
The State Medical Examiner is investigating the incident.
