FLOYD COUNTY, IA - According to WHO 13, the Iowa State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that happened on Hwy 18 west of Floyd Sunday.
A 37-year-old woman was driving a Jeep Cherokee east on Hwy 18 when she strayed into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a Toyota Prius operated by a 74-year-old man around 3:50 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the 74-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl dead at the scene. They transported the 37-year-old woman and another passenger to an area hospital.
