News: Driver strikes, kills pedestrian in Iowa City

IOWA CITY, IA - A man who was struck by a car while out for a run near Melrose Ave and Kennedy Pkwy on May 22 has died from their injuries, according to the Des Moines Register.

The driver hit Corey J. Hite around 4 p.m.

Rescue crews transported Hite to an area hospital with a pelvic fracture, holes in his lungs and kidneys, and a skull fracture.

It is unclear exactly when Hite died.

Officials have not released the name of the driver who hit Hite.
