LINN COUNTY, IA - According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, officials have released additional details concerning the deadly crash near County Home Rd and N 10th St on Tuesday.
Update: The driver of the Nissan Rogue was Aubrey Griner, 18 years old of Adel, Iowa. The decedent passenger of the Nissan Rogue was David Dickson, 50 years old of Marion, Iowa. The driver of the semi was James Schmitt, 74 years old of Earlville, Iowa. https://t.co/WZPsDKMxBL

A 74-year-old male was driving a semi-truck west on County Home Rd when he collided with a northbound Nissan Rogue driven by an 18-year-old female around 8:23 a.m.
The collision sent the Rogue into the yard of a vacant house at 2409 County Home Rd.
Rescue crews pronounced the 50-year-old male passenger of the Rogue dead at the scene. They transported the Rogue driver to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The semi-truck driver suffered minor injuries in the collision. It is unclear if they went to the hospital.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
