DES MOINES, IA - Police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for a fatal motorcycle crash at 19th St and westbound I-20 on Oct. 30, 2022, according to We Are Iowa.
A 50-year-old male was riding a motorcycle with a female passenger at speeds above 60 mph in a 35 mph zone north on 19th St when he hit a car.
Rescue crews transported the motorcyclist and his passenger to an area hospital in critical condition. The passenger died on Nov. 3.
Authorities believe the motorcyclist was impaired at the time of the accident. They arrested him on charges of Homicide by Motor Vehicle, Serious Injury by Motor Vehicle, and OWI First Offense.
