LINN COUNTY, IA - One person was hurt in a two-vehicle accident at IA 13 and Secrist Rd Friday, according to Linn County Sheriff's Office.

A 26-year-old male was driving a red Pontiac Grand Prix south on IA 13 when he rear-ended a blue 2013 Chevy Malibu driven by a 63-year-old male at 6:09 a.m.

The collision caused the Malibu to roll over onto its hood and the Grand Prix to end up on the southbound shoulder of the road.

Rescue crews transported the 63-year-old male to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities cited the 26-year-old for Failure to Stop at a Safe and Assured Distance.
