STORM LAKE, IA - A hit-and-run driver struck and injured a teen on the 500 block of Oates St Thursday morning, according to KCAU.
Police believe a 27-year-old male was driving a Jeep Liberty when he hit intentionally hit the 17-year-old around 2:30 a.m.
Before the hit-and-run, the teen allegedly stole $50 worth of liquor from the Midtown Brew gas station where the 27-year-old worked.
Following the collision, rescue crews transported the teen to an area hospital with arm and leg injuries.
Authorities charged the 27-year-old with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, operating a vehicle with a valid driver's license, assault with a dangerous weapon, and reckless driving.
