News: Semi-truck driver dies following crash in Davenport

DAVENPORT, IA - According to KWQC, a semi-truck driver died in a wreck on the westbound I-80 off-ramp to I74 Friday.

The semi-truck driver was hauling cattle when he lost control of his vehicle on the exit ramp, causing the vehicle to overturn onto its side around 3:08 a.m.

The crash killed the semi-truck driver and released around 40 head of cattle.

Shortly after the initial crash, a semi-truck and a sedan hit two cows. The semi-truck driver was not hurt and the sedan driver suffered minor injuries.

Officials have not released the deceased driver's name.
