FAYETTE COUNTY, IA - The Fayette County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened near 45th St and R Ave on Friday, according to KCRG.
At around 1 a.m., a 21-year-old man was driving a white 2008 Ford F-250 pickup truck north on R Ave when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch before rolling multiple times.
The driver and his passenger, a 23-year-old man, were thrown from the truck during the wreck.
Rescue crews transported both men to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver died at the hospital. Crews took the passenger to another hospital for further treatment.
