FORT DODGE, IA - Three dogs attacked and seriously injured a woman near S 16th St on Friday, according to We Are Iowa.
A witness called the police after hearing calls for help around 11:25 a.m.
An officer arrived at the scene and discovered three dogs attacking a woman. The officer attempted to scare the dogs away but failed. The officer then shot the dogs.
Rescue crews treated the woman's injuries at the scene before transporting her to an area hospital. Crews then airlifted the victim to a hospital in Des Moines.
